History
In April 1978, a group of locals interested in reforming the yacht club as a social club, founded the Point Yacht Club which soon grew to be "a great place for boaters." The growth of the boat population was astronomical and Lake Erie soon became  a "Great Lakes Premier Boating Location"  and Point Yacht Club has grown from a membership of 4 in 1978 to membership in 2022 of over 250.

Located in the Cedar Point Amusement Park Marina, members have access to the beauty of Lake Erie as well as the most amazing amusement park in the world! Cedar Point is known as Americas Roller Coast!

Getting Involved
Are you interested in getting involved in yachting? Whether you would like to join a race crew, become a captain, request an area skipper to do a presentation for your organization or just purchase a boat ride, the Point Yacht Club can help you get started. We work hard to promote boating on Lake Erie .

The  Point Yacht Club is a non-for-profit organization that promotes boating safety through education and encourages sociability and friendship among its members while stimulating a greater interest in boating among outdoor enthusiast. We look forward to sharing the friendly waters with you!
