2018 Blessing of the Fleet

Our club supports various local charities at each event.  This year we supported a very special cause that hits close to home.  Past commodore, Donna Marsinick and mother of a local police officer, makes custom quilts that she gives to comfort families of fallen officers.  Her goal is to make a quilt for every officer whose life is taken while walking the thin blue line.

This cause is an expensive undertaking but with the support of those around her, Donna has been able to start to raise money for this cause. She has started a GoFundMe page to help her to continue to make these quilts and support families of the fallen. Consider donating to this cause.

Remembering Carrie Pell

This year we remember past commodore and friend, Carrie Pell who passed away late last year. She was celebrated at the blessing with a wreath of evergreens and white flowers that were tossed into the water.  In this tradition we remember all those who are no longer with us and who were injured or perished in the waters. We will miss Carrie dearly.
